About the team you are joining
The airline industry is moving towards full airline retailing in order to become truly customer centric, and in control of its products, money, and data. This change requires a complete review and rebuild of the industry architecture, standards, and processes.
Your team is the guardian of IATA Financial Settlement and Distribution Services (FSDS) strategy, ensuring the guidance provided by our Industry Finance, Distribution, and Digital Transformation Advisory councils (respectively FinAC, DAC and DTAC) is translated into the right standards for the industry and that the derived FSDS programs of work are designed and executed efficiently and diligently.
Reporting to the Director Strategy, you will be a key member of the broader FSDS Strategy team, which will support you in the areas of Governance, Risk Management, Quality, Planning and Monitoring.
What your day would be like
Develop and hold the vision towards Airline customer centricity that allows airlines to compete for customers on the basis of product, price, and performance, whilst minimizing the cost of back-office and support services.
Articulate and explain the current and future airline industry architecture and end-to-end processes.
Document, articulate and explain the current and future IATA related activities to support the evolution of the industry. Make assessments for areas of improvement and make the changes necessary to carry out strategy or reshape the business.
Guide and support IATA SMEs, industry work groups and IATA Strategic Partners on how to fit work activities, especially standard and financial product development, to the industry vision.
Work with IATA and industry SMEs to develop transition plans towards customer centricity.
Ensure FSDS’ industry engagements (Advisory Councils, Traffic Conferences, Events, etc.) are aligned and coordinated in terms of content and work towards the delivery of the industry vision.

In-depth knowledge of airlines commercial and financial airline architecture, processes and systems. Knowledge of the travel agents and intermediaries’ processes and systems is a big plus.
