About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineering Director to lead our Solutions Engineering team in the EMEA/APAC region. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Mentorship
    • Lead and mentor a team of Solutions Engineers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Business Development
    • Collaborate with Sales and Solutions Engineering management to determine staffing levels and lead the interview team to fill open positions.
    • Work with the SonarSource sales leadership team to identify, qualify, and prioritize business opportunities.
    • Participate in opportunity review meetings to provide insight into how to secure technical success.
  • Customer Success
    • Work with the sales account team, customer support, product management, customer solutions, and engineering to resolve product problems affecting customer satisfaction.
    • Coordinate across Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to ensure alignment between customer needs, product positioning, and product features.
  • Travel and Communication
    • Travel up to 50% of the time as needed to meet with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
    • Present to all audiences in-person and virtually, engage with C-level executives, and work with emerging technologies and solutions.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • 10+ years of experience as a pre-sales engineer at an enterprise technology company, or in a similar customer- or partner-facing role.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven experience in the management of the presales engineering function.
    • Experience promoting infrastructure software, databases, analytics tools, or applications software, and exceeding business goals.
    • Ability to inspire and grow teams in a sales environment and influence cross-functional teams.
    • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics tools.
