Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to colleagues via face-to-face interactions and phone calls
- Investigate and resolve user queries in a professional and empathetic manner
- Engage with users after initial diagnosis to ensure all relevant data has been gathered
- Gather all necessary data for troubleshooting and ensure all users' tickets are logged into the support desk system
- Resolve and close tickets in a timely manner, keeping users updated on progress at all times
- Escalate complex tickets to senior team members as needed
- Engage in training opportunities to develop skills and knowledge in key areas such as desktop support, networking, and operating systems
- Maintain a flexible approach to work schedule, including early starts, late finishes, and on-call support
- Oversee stock levels to ensure accuracy of records and maintain stock levels to meet office needs
- Provide incident resolution across all sites and for colleagues working remotely
- Work closely with IT Procurement to respond to purchasing requests and queries
- Request quotes from suppliers, raise requisitions, and purchase orders in line with business requirements
- Ensure ongoing system updates and maintenance of hardware and software
- Perform other ad-hoc IT duties as required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (B2/C1 English level required, as well as French)
- Passionate about all things IT related and quick to learn
- Ability to work well individually or as part of a team
- Troubleshooting skills, especially at network, printer, copier, and computer level
- Good understanding of how a helpdesk operates
- Good understanding of Microsoft Windows 11, 10, and Office 365
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
- Good working knowledge of web applications, networks, protocols, and emails (SMTP, POP3, and Exchange)
- Good understanding of TCP/IP Networking and experience with DHCP, DNS, and VPN
- Good understanding of all handheld peripherals, e.g. iPad, iPhone, Android, etc.
- General knowledge of basic network infrastructure concepts
