**About the Role**

Dfinity is seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge identity and credential management systems for the blockchain ecosystem.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct in-depth research on identity and credential management systems, with a focus on blockchain applications.
  • Design and analyze practical protocols with provable guarantees, and contribute to the development of a robust identity management system built on the Internet Computer Protocol.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to inform software architecture decisions and provide technical consultation.
  • Represent the project at academic and industry conferences, and share technical knowledge with the public.
  • Review technical pre-prints and manuscripts related to blockchain technology.

**Requirements**

  • Strong expertise in applied cryptography, particularly verifiable and anonymous credentials.
  • Extensive experience in identity management and blockchain technology.
  • Proven track record of designing cryptographic primitives and protocols.
  • PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience as a professor, postdoctoral researcher, or industry researcher is a plus.
  • An excellent record of peer-reviewed publications.
