Senior Research Manager in Molecular Biology

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Research Manager to lead our Molecular Agroecology and Plant Ecology Research Group at Agroscope. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the group's research activities, developing new molecular biology analysis methods, and securing funding for research projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the research group and analytical chemistry laboratory, overseeing technical, organizational, financial, and personnel management.
- Develop and implement innovative research projects, driving the strategic and scientific development of the group.
- Design and implement new molecular biology analysis methods for a wide range of living organisms, securing funding for research projects.
- Represent the group in expert committees, organizations, and at national and international levels.
- Publish research results in national and international scientific journals and establish and maintain a national and international network of scientific partners.
- University degree with a PhD in molecular biology or a comparable field, with scientific knowledge in the group's research area and experience in management.
- Leadership ability, team-mindedness, good communication skills, stress resistance, and a passion for agricultural research.
- Experience managing major national or international research projects and/or managing a core facility.
- Extensive professional network in the research field.
- Knowledge of two official Swiss languages and a very good command of written and spoken English.
