Director of Analytical Chemistry Laboratory in Agroecology and Molecular Phytoecology

About the Role
The successful candidate will lead the research group and analytical chemistry laboratory in agroecology and molecular phytoecology, overseeing technical, organizational, financial, and personnel management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage innovative research projects in the field, driving strategic and scientific development of the Group.
- Develop new molecular biology analysis methods for a wide range of living organisms, securing third-party funding for research development.
- Represent the Group in expert groups, organizations, and committees within Agroscope, as well as at national and international levels.
- Publish research results in national and international scientific journals, establishing and maintaining a national and international network of scientific partners.
Requirements
- University degree with a PhD in molecular biology or a comparable qualification, with scientific knowledge in the Group's research field and experience/training in management.
- Leadership ability, team-mindedness, good communication skills, stress resistance, and a passion for agricultural research.
- Experience managing major national or international research projects and/or managing a core facility.
- Extensive professional network in the research field.
- Knowledge of two official Swiss languages and a very good command of written and spoken English.
