Agroscope is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead its Molecular Agroecology and Plant Ecology Research Group. As the Head of this group, you will be responsible for managing the research team and the analytical chemistry laboratory, overseeing innovative research projects, and developing new molecular biology analysis methods.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the research group and laboratory, ensuring technical, organizational, financial, and personnel management are aligned with the group's goals.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the group, including securing third-party funding for research projects.
- Represent the group in expert committees, organizations, and at national and international levels.
- Lead the publication of research results in scientific journals and establish a national and international network of scientific partners.
- PhD in molecular biology or a related field, with experience and/or training in management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing major research projects and/or managing a core facility.
- Extensive professional network in the research field.
- Proficiency in two official Swiss languages and excellent written and spoken English.
