Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at Eawag, the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will be part of a multidisciplinary research environment and will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in evolutionary population genetics, computational biology, and pharmacology.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research in evolutionary population genetics, computational biology, and pharmacology
- Develop and implement mathematical models and simulations to analyze complex biological systems
- Integrate diverse datasets and develop computational tools for data analysis and visualization
- Design and implement databases to store and manage large datasets
- Collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines to achieve research goals
- Communicate research findings through publications in reputable scientific journals
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Genetics, Computational Biology, Pharmacology, or a related field
- Strong background in evolutionary population genetics, with expertise in mathematical modeling and simulation
- Experience in integrating diverse datasets and developing computational tools for data analysis and visualization
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
