We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a Non-Tenure Track Assistant Professorship of Clinical and Experimental Neurotology at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of the University Hospital Zurich.

Research Focus

The successful candidate will contribute to the further development of the department by improving the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders causing dizziness and vertigo. The research focus will be on the field of otology, particularly in the biomechanics and electrophysiology of the audiovestibular system, auditory neuroplasticity, and tinnitus.

Responsibilities
  • Lead an experimental and clinical research team in the field of neurotology
  • Participate in clinical services at the department as a senior leading physician
  • Develop and implement research projects, including the acquisition of third-party funds
  • Collaborate with international researchers and contribute to the development of the department
Requirements
  • Board certification in otorhinolaryngology (ENT)
  • Leadership experience at least at the level of an attending physician
  • Strong commitment to clinical excellence and teaching
  • German language skills at level B2 of the common European framework of reference for languages
