About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Investment Compliance Analyst to join our team at State Street. As a key member of our Institutional Services function, you will play a critical role in delivering a comprehensive and holistic approach to client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the analysis and interpretation of fund contracts and investment guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the implementation of new products, fund regulations, and investment guidelines within our investment compliance application.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal projects related to investment compliance and new products.
- Support the Investment Compliance reporting team in preparing and reviewing reports.
- Participate in projects related to investment compliance and new products, including the documentation of rules and guidelines for audit purposes.
- Execute basic and advanced responsibilities of a compliance analyst in the investment compliance environment, including supporting depositary bank-related controls.
- Support the oversight of our outsourcing providers and related governance documentation.
Requirements
- Commercial apprenticeship with a minimum of 1 year of working experience in fund compliance or education within the financial industry.
- Experience in a custodian bank or portfolio compliance, investment controlling, risk, or asset management.
- Good understanding of the general investment environment, different investment instruments, and markets.
- IT affinity and coding skills (VBA, SQL, Python), with Charles River (CRD) compliance being an advantage.
- Knowledge of the Swiss legal and regulatory environment (KAG/KKV/KKV-FINMA/BVV2).
- Fluent in German (written and spoken) and advanced knowledge of English.
