Director of Mass Spectrometry Strategy

Key Responsibilities:

As a key member of our Life Sciences team, you will be responsible for leading the Mass Spectrometry (MS) strategy and business development efforts within Tecan. Your primary focus will be on defining and executing the MS product roadmap, driving innovation, and collaborating with key stakeholders to launch new products.

Key Objectives:

  • Develop and drive the growth agenda of Tecan's life sciences MS business
  • Define and oversee the execution of the MS product/application roadmap
  • Build relationships with key MS players and engage in strategic partnerships
  • Lead both organic and inorganic business development efforts
  • Launch new products/solutions with strong commercial execution
  • Define and prioritize strategic objectives for the MS marketing plan
  • Establish and maintain a network of Key Opinion Leaders in MS sample prep automation
  • Drive voice of the customer initiatives and market analysis
  • Evaluate new business opportunities and coordinate projects

Requirements:

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in life sciences and business development. Your qualifications should include:

  • Life Sciences Degree
  • Sales and marketing education or advanced degree (Scientific PhD or MBA)
  • More than 5 years of experience in life sciences
  • Experience in sales, sales support, and marketing (2-3 years)
  • Deep understanding of marketing methods and Mass Spectrometry markets
  • Fluent English, German would be an asset
