Director and Segment Lead Genomics

Your Role

As the Director and Segment Lead for Genomics at Tecan, you will be responsible for developing and driving the company's genomics vision and strategy. You will lead a team of experts in creating cutting-edge solutions and products that meet the evolving needs of the life sciences market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and drive the genomics vision and segment strategy
  • Create future workflows and application solutions
  • Prioritize R&D projects within the segment
  • Coordinate activities across business units and lead the segment strategy
  • Manage the genomics product portfolio and oversee sales in a matrix organization
  • Ensure revenue and profitability targets are met for assigned products
  • Identify M&A targets and participate in due diligence processes
  • Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for genomics within the life science division
  • Manage strategic partnerships and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders
  • Develop and mentor team members to achieve targets and enhance their capabilities
  • Report out to senior management on core activities and segment performance
Requirements

We're looking for a highly experienced leader with a strong background in life sciences and genomics. You should have a proven track record of managing diverse teams and driving innovation in the life sciences industry.

  • 10+ years of experience in life sciences, with a strong focus on genomics
  • Excellent track record of managing diverse teams and driving innovation
  • Proven experience in marketing, product management, and sales leadership in the life sciences sector
  • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Fluency in English; additional languages like German are advantageous
