Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance & Admin team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
  • General Ledger Management: Support the management of the general ledger, including cash accounting, to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable process, including the dunning process, to ensure timely payment and receipt of funds.
  • Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Fixed Asset Accounting: Manage the fixed asset accounting process to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • VAT Reporting: Support the preparation of VAT reports for Swiss entities.
  • Financial Analysis: Assist in the analysis of financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Audit Support: Provide support during audit engagements to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, including physical mail and inbox administration, to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or commercial apprenticeship in Accounting with at least 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience: Proven work experience in accounts receivable/accounts payable accounting and general ledger accounting.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and respective laws, including Swiss Code of Obligations and IFRS. Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP (FI/CO) and/or Abacus, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent analytical skills, ability to create and present detailed reports, proactive and adaptable, capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
