Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is around 120,000 CHF per annum, based on industry standards and the location of Bern. Job DescriptionAs a Data Scientist at Galenica AG, you will work hands-on with diverse datasets to generate insights in early project states and shape data products with your passion to drive business forward. You will leverage your expertise to identify suitable analyses and apply appropriate machine learning solutions to solve various challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working in close partnership with internal teams to bridge the gap between advanced data analysis and business functions
- Adapting and contributing to the agile development process, responding flexibly to changing project requirements and priorities
- Staying abreast of the latest developments in machine learning and their operations and sharing insights with the team
We are seeking a highly qualified candidate with a Master's degree or PhD in economics, business informatics, computer science, engineering, or similar. Proven track records in advanced analytics and machine learning, preferably in the Swiss healthcare sector, are essential. Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, along with advanced knowledge of statistical methods, data modeling, and working with databases, are required.
Experience with Neural Networks and/or Generative AI is a plus. Skilled in transitioning machine learning models from development to production with a focus on seamless integration and efficient operations. Fluency in Python and SQL, with other scripting languages (e.g., R) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) being an advantage.
Language ProficiencyFluency in English is necessary, with language proficiency in German or French being an asset to ensure seamless communication within our diverse team.
