We are seeking a motivated MSc student to contribute to our innovative research on solid-state fermentation processes. This internship focuses on designing and implementing control systems using microprocessors to monitor and optimize fermentation dynamics.

Luya Foods is an organic food company that aims to create a new category of plant-based alternatives to meat. This is a hands-on role that offers the chance to work at the intersection of electronics, programming, and biotechnology. As a member of our R&D team, you will design sensor interfaces to collect real-time data from fermentation systems, program microcontrollers to automate data acquisition and control environmental conditions, analyze data to gain insights into fermentation dynamics, and collaborate with bioprocess engineers to integrate sensors and actuators for precise control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop sensor interfaces to collect real-time data from fermentation systems.
  • Program microcontrollers to automate data acquisition and control environmental conditions.
  • Analyze data to gain insights into fermentation dynamics.
  • Collaborate with bioprocess engineers to integrate sensors and actuators for precise control.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or other microprocessor platforms.
  • Experience with sensors, actuators, and data acquisition.
  • Basic programming skills in Python, C++, or similar languages.
  • Interest in biotechnology and fermentation processes.
