Hotel Operations Manager Job Description
About the Role
Viking is seeking a highly skilled Hotel Operations Manager to join our team on our River vessels. As a Hotel Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction and profitability through efficient administration, excellent service, and staff supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire hotel operation on board according to company standards
- Lead and motivate the team according to Viking's philosophy
- Ensure the highest level of cleanliness, hygiene, and order in all areas
- Responsible for cost control, adherence to budgets, and inventory management
- Anticipate guest needs, handle complaints, and participate in onboard events
- Supervise and support the F&B department and crew working hours, days off, and vacation scheduling

- Rotation Schedule: In Egypt, you will operate on a 90-days-on and 14 to 21 days off-rotation
- Cabin Occupancy: Single cabin
- Excursions: Occasionally, you have a chance to join one of the guest excursions and explore Egypt's wonderful sites
- Guests: Up to 82 guests on board to 75 crew members
Requirements
- Hospitality degree required (min. Diploma in Hotel Management)
- Minimum of 3 years previous experience required in similar position
- Fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional leadership skills and ability to handle confidential information discreetly
- Ability to maintain impeccable hygiene standards, extensive walking and standing required
