Role Overview

The Senior Capital Manager and Group Insurance Officer is a critical role within our company, responsible for executing the Group's capital transactions, maintaining liquidity, and ensuring insurance coverage for our programs.

Your Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute strategic plans for external and internal capital transactions, including hybrid capital, for Julius Baer Group/Bank Julius Baer.
  • Oversee the internal dividends collection and planning process, adhering to local laws and regulations.
  • Lead the execution of equity injections, capital reductions, and/or debt financings for legal entities, collaborating closely with tax, legal, and local management (regional/divisional CFOs).
  • Evaluate and potentially execute risk transfer transactions and asset-backed funding transactions.
  • Maintain the liquidity of the top holding of the Group.
  • Manage Group insurance policies, focusing on financial lines in cooperation with an insurance broker.
  • Handle employee DBO schemes (outside of Switzerland) in cooperation with an insurance broker.
  • Maintain relationships with the Group's key investment banks and rating agencies.


Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you will possess:


  • Outstanding analytical skills.
  • High social competence paired with excellent communication skills.
  • A hands-on, solution-oriented mindset.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a similar role or in a capital markets department of an investment bank.
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality results to stringent deadlines through strict process management.
  • Willingness to cover responsibilities end-to-end, including operational tasks.
  • Good knowledge in IFRS and capital market-related tax issues is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and German, any other language skill is a plus.
