About the Role

Ecolab is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Manager to join our team. As a Sales Development Manager, you will play a critical role in driving growth and expanding our Institutional business, which offers comprehensive chemical products and solutions to meet the needs of customers across the foodservice and hospitality sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase Ecolab Institutional market share in key sectors, including Health and Aged Care, Hospitality, Government facilities, Private Schools, Local Government, and FSR (chain business), Restaurants.
  • Achieve new business sales targets established as part of the budgeting process, ensuring growth is profitable by working to strict pricing guidelines.
  • Conduct technical surveys to ensure a targeted Ecolab program, and prepare and present presentations to convey the Ecolab value proposition and secure new business.
  • Construct basic customer rollout plans to ensure the customer and field team clearly understand the expectation, and work with the field team and act as the one voice of Ecolab during prospecting, proposals, and presentations.
  • Manage the relationship transition to the Local Sales Team, and participate in trainings involving a combination of classroom and on-the-job assessments.
  • Build and foster industry contacts via networking, trade shows, functions, and equipment suppliers, and work in collaboration with Territory Managers, District Sales Managers, and Corporate Account Managers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 4 years of outside sales experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous sales development experience within the Institutional market sectors
  • A solid understanding of Ecolab products, services, and systems with a focus on their application in the Institutional markets.
  • Be results-orientated and possess a strong track record in a business-to-business selling role
  • Be accustomed to growing the business by negotiating and winning new business at the executive level
  • Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills
  • Possess exceptional negotiation skills and a passion to deliver and exceed client expectations
