We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Specialist to join our team at Pro Informatik AG. As a key member of our IT operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our critical banking applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • **Application Support**: Provide 2nd level support for several critical banking applications, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues.
  • **Operational Improvements**: Suggest and implement operational improvements, such as automations, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our application support processes.
  • **Coordination and Communication**: Coordinate and communicate with incident managers, service owners, 3rd level support, and other IT and business stakeholders to ensure seamless issue resolution and process execution.
  • **Change Request Administration**: Administer change requests for application-related process fulfillment, ensuring compliance with established procedures and standards.
  • **Application Projects**: Engage in application projects, focusing on operational aspects, to ensure smooth implementation and integration of new applications.
  • **Data Cleansing**: Perform data cleansing of systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • **Documentation**: Document application operations, ensuring that knowledge is captured and shared across the team.

Requirements

  • **Experience**: Several years of experience in 2nd level application support.
  • **Technical Skills**: Good knowledge in Unix, experience with Java application servers and Oracle databases, understanding of job scheduling systems (Control M, AWA Automic).
  • **Language Skills**: Fluent in English, good German language skills.
  • **Certifications**: ITIL Foundation certification.
  • **Personality**: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, methodical and structural approach, strong communication skills, team- and customer-oriented personality.
