Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Engineer to join our team at STAAR Surgical AG.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing quality team, where you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products and processes.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Support site production, operations, maintenance, calibration and quality teams in achieving excellence in quality.
  • Serve as the quality representative during product or process investigations and audits, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Prepare, execute, review and lead validations, technical studies, test method validations and other studies/reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead projects related to manufacturing activities, driving improvements in efficiency, productivity and quality.
  • Support risk management processes and associated documentation, identifying and mitigating potential risks to ensure business continuity.
  • Initiate and lead project teams on Corrective Action/Preventative Action (CAPA) projects, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
About You
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Quality, mechanical, life sciences or industrial engineering.
  • With a minimum of five years' experience or an advanced degree with three years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industries.
  • You possess excellent English skills, both spoken and written, with proficiency in IT skills such as MS Office and eQMS.
  • You are a flexible and adaptable individual, able to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have a responsible, team-oriented and well-organized personality, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
