About Us: STAAR Surgical AG is a leading manufacturer of innovative surgical devices for the treatment of cataracts and other eye diseases.
Salary: We offer a competitive salary, estimated to be in the range of €80,000 to €120,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Expert to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Expert, you will work closely with our production, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting site production, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure compliance with quality procedures and regulations;
- Serving as the quality representative during product or process investigations and external/internal audits;
- Preparing, executing, reviewing, and leading validations, technical studies, test method validations, and other studies/reports;
- Leading various projects related to manufacturing activities;
- Supporting the risk management process and associated documentation applicable to STAAR Surgical AG;
- Initiating and leading project teams on Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Quality, mechanical, life sciences, or industrial engineering;
- Minimum five years' experience or advanced degree with three years of experience in quality engineering, in the medical device or pharmaceutical industries;
- Excellent English skills, both spoken and written. All other languages are an asset;
- Proficient IT skills (e.g., MS Office, eQMS, etc.);
- Very flexible and adaptable to change with ability to work under pressure;
- Responsible, team-oriented, and well-organized personality.
