About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical R&D Professional to join our team at Siegfried AG. As a key member of our Product Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and optimization of established active pharmaceutical ingredients (API).

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Organic Chemistry and at least 5 years of operational experience in both R&D and manufacturing, preferably in a c-GMP environment. You should be highly structured and systematic in your approach to problem-solving, utilizing tools such as situation diagnosis, process mapping, root cause analysis, decision/risk analysis, and fishbone/5Why's diagrams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Product Leadership Team in addressing production issues related to established API.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments while considering production constraints, safety, quality, and environmental aspects.
  • Evaluate the scientific relevance of laboratory trial requests within the PLT team.
  • Participate in optimization/improvement projects of established processes.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization of commercial processes through deviation and product portfolio analysis.
  • Plan and coordinate the activities of two laboratory technicians.
  • Edit reports to track R&D investigations/optimisations.
Requirements
  • PhD in Organic Chemistry.
  • At least 5 years of operational experience in R&D and manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies, such as Process Analytical Technology (PAT).
