We are currently seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our business, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the accounting functions of multiple group companies across different jurisdictions.
  • Oversee the execution of month-end trade-related accounting tasks.
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial reports, including PnL and working capital reviews.
  • Support regional offices in addressing accounting concerns and facilitating the month-end closing process.
  • Apply expert knowledge of IFRS to analyze new transactions and determine the most suitable accounting treatments.
  • Collaborate with traffic/operations teams to prepare customized financial reports.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in accounting and finance.
  • Provide guidance and support to traffic and operations teams on accounting-related matters.
  • Ensure the timely preparation of statutory financial statements.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in commodities trading.
  • Familiarity with tax laws and GAAP principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages advantageous.
