Job Summary

Your Role

As an Information and Evidence Officer, you will be responsible for leading information and evidence review and analysis projects, managing and mentoring a team of information and evidence officers, and providing expert advice on complex aspects of evidentiary systems and protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for complex eDiscovery projects, including determining technical objectives, planning and directing implementing activities, and overseeing the population of evidence systems.
  • Lead the analysis of technical data structures, direct staff on appropriate methods for information extraction, and ensure forensic integrity and respond to complex queries from users.
  • Facilitate the resolution of issues relating to search queries and provide expert advice in the identification of material of interest.
  • Liaise directly with third-parties, discuss solutions to complex technical issues related to defensible evidence handling and data transfer, and direct provision of expert consulting services to downstream third-party judicial and prosecutorial entities.
  • Review and finalize custodian questionnaires and definition of identification frameworks for investigations and collections, and make recommendations to senior management.
  • Monitor project progress against plan, and benchmarks, ensuring compliance with Section's standards, guidelines.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible work experience in information management or related area, of which a minimum of five years in eDiscovery is required.
  • Prior experience in the legal industry is required, with experience in electronic evidence acquisition, proper handling of physical evidence, litigation project management, and international criminal law being highly desirable.
  • Certification in eDiscovery, data protection, and project management is required, with Nuix or encase certification being highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English is required, with knowledge of Arabic and French being highly desirable.

Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on location and qualifications.
