Salary
As an Advanced Detector Electronics Specialist, you can expect a competitive monthly stipend ranging from 6212 to 6828 Swiss Francs per month (net of tax), reflecting your valuable expertise and experience.
Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional electronics expert to join our team and contribute to the development and integration of innovative front-end electronics for tracking, triggering, and timing applications in particle detectors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Exploring new methods for integrating pixel-based front-end electronics with detector systems, including investigating Timepix4 and other advanced technologies.
- Enhancing detector systems through collaboration with advanced manufacturing processes to integrate electronics into specialized detector technologies.
- Participating in prototype development, experimenting with novel electronics concepts, and refining existing ones.
- Evaluating the performance of detectors under real-world conditions through experiments and test beams.
- Developing and integrating Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems to efficiently collect and analyze data from detectors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Extensive knowledge and experience with particle detectors, particularly gaseous detectors.
- A deep understanding of signal induction and coupling principles.
- Expertise in analog electronics and integration in particle detectors.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
