About the Role

Splunk Inc. is experiencing rapid growth, and we are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to join our team in Switzerland. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building a strong pipeline and maximizing software sales within large enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Revenue Growth: Consistently deliver on license, support, and service revenue targets, with a commitment to numbers and deadlines.
  • Territory Planning: Develop strategic territory plans based on named accounts and opportunity management, with a focus on continuous pipeline generation and business development.
  • Negotiation and Sales: Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with customers by selling on value and ROI.
  • Collaboration: Effectively engage and leverage Sales Engineering, Business Value Advisors, and Professional Services resources to drive sales success.
  • Partner Ecosystem: Leverage our partner ecosystem of resellers, managed service providers, and Global Strategic Integrators.
  • Sales Methodology: Use, live, and breathe our sales methodology and processes effectively, including Salesforce and MEDDPICC.
  • Team Player: Demonstrate a good corporate citizen attitude, with a can-do attitude and a two-way flow of relevant and timely information.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree; MBA a plus.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of direct selling experience in the Swiss IT market.
  • Software Sales: Proven track record in software sales in Security, IT-Operations, DevOps, and/or Data Analytics.
  • Closing Deals: Comfortable closing large and complex software licensing deals.
  • Business Relationships: Solid business relationships in existing target accounts, including Global Manufacturing companies.
  • Skills: Exceptional management, interpersonal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Attributes: Innovative, passionate, open, disruptive, and having fun.
  • Market Knowledge: Thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth mindset, and rapidly evolving and competitive market.
  • Independence: Able to work independently and remotely from other members of your team and corporate.
  • CRM and Social Media: Use CRM systems extensively, with proven knowledge of MEDDPICC, and strong competency in using social media and professional networks.
  • Language: Very fluent in English (both written and spoken).
