Job Summary

This role involves creating a positive impression with clients, building pipeline, and driving business growth. You will be expected to follow up on leads, qualify potential clients, and communicate our value proposition effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a lasting impression with prospects and customers while driving business growth.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Develop customized pitches for different target accounts and personas to effectively communicate our value proposition.
  • Work with Account Executives to drive outbound prospecting activities and identify new business leads.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers at new accounts to drive business growth.
  • Staff tradeshows and follow up on leads collected at the Benchling booth.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in life sciences required (e.g., molecular biology, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, biochemistry); postgraduate welcomed.
  • Recent graduate or 1-2 years of internship/work experience in a Sales Development Representative or Business Development Representative function. Alternatively, strong interest in SDR role with some prior life sciences experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Persistent, self-motivated, and willing to go beyond strict job responsibilities.
  • Driven to meet/exceed goals with a proven history of consistent high achievement.
  • Gritty and resourceful.
  • Methodical and disciplined work ethic.
  • Language Requirements: English and French.
