Job Summary

As an Associate Director, Drug Product Sales, you'll play a key role in driving the acquisition of new customers and expanding existing relationships for our Drug Product Services Business Unit. You'll work closely with Global Sales, Commercial Development, and Marketing teams to promote our current drug product service capabilities and new offerings, while facilitating the generation and closing of new clinical and commercial business opportunities.

  1. Manage and implement Territory Sales Plans for DPS service offerings, aligning with DPS Business Unit strategy
  2. Hunt for new programs for the DPS BU
  3. Demonstrate strategic business awareness of the drug product market and customers to differentiate Lonza from competitors
  4. Effectively promote current drug product technical capabilities and emerging technologies to facilitate business opportunities
  5. Build trust-based relationships with target accounts, from technical personnel to executive levels
  6. Formulate value propositions to address customer needs
  7. Identify market trends, assess market potential, and develop strategies to grow market share
  8. Actively lead or support marketing and technical expert outreach efforts to penetrate target accounts
  9. Maintain up-to-date data in Lonza systems, including Salesforce, CPQ, and Customer Target Platform

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science discipline, MBA, or advanced scientific degree
  • Business fluency in English
  • Proven experience in the CDMO industry, specifically DP, with a strong track record of delivering business targets
  • CRM/SFDC expertise, negotiation experience, and a strong understanding of drug product development and manufacturing processes
