Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented FP&A Business Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial planning, analysis, and strategic support to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting:
    • Develop and manage the annual budgeting process to ensure accurate financial forecasting and planning.
    • Prepare quarterly and annual financial forecasts to inform business decisions.
    • Coordinate with department heads to ensure accurate budget submissions and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze monthly financial results, variances, and trends to identify areas for improvement.
    • Prepare detailed financial reports for senior management to inform strategic decisions.
    • Conduct profitability analysis on products, services, and business segments to optimize financial performance.
  • Strategic Support:
    • Assist in the development of long-term strategic plans to drive business growth and profitability.
    • Evaluate potential investments, partnerships, and new business opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
    • Support cost control initiatives and monitor operational expenses to optimize financial performance.
    • Develop and maintain financial models to support various business scenarios.
  • Business Performance Monitoring:
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards for real-time monitoring.
    • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to analyze sales trends and customer behavior.
    • Monitor market conditions and competitor performance to inform strategic decisions.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
    • Support internal and external audits as required.
    • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related roles, preferably within the sporting goods or outdoor industry but not necessary.
  • Proficiency in English and French are mandatory; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, BI tools).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for snowboarding and the outdoor industry is a plus.
