Histology Technician Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our team. As a Histology Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of histology samples in our laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine decalcification, processing, embedding, microtomy, and re-embedding of human tissue specimens from patients enrolled in clinical trials.
  • Automate and manually stain tissue specimens using various techniques, including ImmunoHistoChemistry and FISH.
  • Maintain proper storage conditions and traceability of histology blocks and slides.
  • Perform slide scanning as required and according to protocols.
  • Prepare workstations, instrumentation, and maintain equipment daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Monitor reagents, materials, and supplies.
  • Adhere to safety and occupational health policies and standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 6-month previous experience in a histology laboratory.
  • Experience in FISH interpretation is a plus.
  • A Medical Technologist degree (CFC holder, BTS, DUT, IUT Degree holder) or Pharmaceutical Biology Technologist (CFC holder).
  • Fluency in French.
  • The ability to maintain accurate records and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures.
