Job Title: Chemistry Technician

Job Summary:

The Vacuum, Surfaces and Coatings (VSC) group at CERN is seeking a highly skilled Chemistry Technician to join their team. As a key member of the Surface, Coatings, and Chemistry section (SCC), you will be responsible for performing chemical analyses on various materials related to the CERN accelerators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating the instrumentation of the chemistry laboratory, including FTIR, XRF, DSC, ICP-OES, GC, and other equipment.
  • Participating in the maintenance of the laboratory instrumentation.
  • Documenting results through written reports and presentations.
  • Developing new analysis procedures.

Requirements:

  • Diploma as a chemistry technician or equivalent.
  • Practical knowledge of chemical analysis on organic and inorganic compounds.
  • Positive teamwork attitude.
  • Fluent in English or French.
