Job Description

Job Title: Program Director

Job Summary:

The Program Director will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the MSC Cruises' marine conservation program in the Bahamas. The successful candidate will have a strong background in program management, marine conservation, and experience working with stakeholders in the Bahamas.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Planning and Implementation:

Develop and implement the marine conservation program in the Bahamas, including the development of a comprehensive program plan, budget, and timeline.

2. Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and other organizations involved in marine conservation in the Bahamas.

3. Program Monitoring and Evaluation:

Monitor and evaluate the program's progress, including the implementation of program activities, budget management, and stakeholder engagement.

4. Team Management:

Lead and manage a team of program staff, including program coordinators, researchers, and conservationists.

5. Communication and Reporting:

Develop and implement a communication plan to ensure effective communication with stakeholders, including regular reports, newsletters, and social media updates.

Requirements:

1. Education: Master's degree in a relevant field, such as marine conservation, environmental science, or a related field.

2. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in program management, marine conservation, or a related field.

3. Skills: Strong program management skills, including budget management, team management, and stakeholder engagement. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Language: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Spanish or other local languages is an asset.

5. Certification: Certification in a relevant field, such as marine conservation or environmental science, is an asset.
