As a Product Development Engineer at Optotune, you will be at the forefront of creating groundbreaking optical products. Our team is seeking passionate and inventive engineers to drive the future of optical technology.



Key Responsibilities



  • Design, develop, qualify, and launch new products, incorporating principles and concepts from mid to high-volume manufacturing production.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate new applications.
  • Support product transfer and release to operation.
  • Provide technical customer support.
  • Continuously improve yield and throughput during product development by understanding root causes from a product design perspective.
  • Create intellectual property and contribute to technology management.
  • Collaborate and report in multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Encourage team members to strive for alignment, entrepreneurial thinking, and high performance.


Requirements



  • Hold an MSc/BSc degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, photonics, mechatronics, physics, or equivalent.
  • Have experience in product development, preferably in optics, mechanical engineering, or consumer electronics industries.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing is beneficial.
  • Have skills in product design, simulations, and programming (Comsol, Python, Solidworks, Altium).
  • Be familiar with FMEA, Gage R&R, DOE, SPC, and other statistical modeling.
  • Possess creative and analytical thinking, proactive, well-organized, autonomous, hands-on, and open-minded for challenging ideas.
  • Have good knowledge of English.
  • The position is open to both early career and senior levels.
