Job Description
- Model and Maintain Forward Curves: Develop and maintain forward curves at various tenors for gas and power markets.
- Develop and Implement Quantitative Models: Develop and implement quantitative models to assess market risks and value price curves specific to the power market.
- Maintain Market Knowledge: Observe market developments, regulatory changes, and external publications and assess impacts on price dynamics and risk profiles.
- Assess Renewable Energy Impact: Assess renewable energy cannibalization impact and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Deliver Strategic Insights: Deliver insightful analysis and strategic guidance for investment decisions and long-term market projections.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Advanced Degree in Quantitative Finance or Related Field: We require an advanced degree in quantitative finance, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in Quantitative Risk Analysis: Experience in quantitative risk analysis, preferably in commodity markets is required.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, etc. is essential.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and derive insights are necessary.
- Proficiency in Mathematics and Statistics: Proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and risk management tools is required.
- Effective Time Management: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Fluency in English: Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
