The Senior Data Architect will be part of the Data & Analytics Office, a newly established function to drive data & analytics maturity across the business area Trading & Sales. The role involves close collaboration with the IT architecture team and other stakeholders to shape a modern data landscape and deliver business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable data models and structures that ensure data integrity and quality.
- Develop and oversee the data architecture strategy from the business point of view, focusing on reducing data replication and ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide standards and future target states.
- Partner with IT architecture, hubs, and cross-functional teams to embed data principles and align with business priorities.
- Mentor business users, facilitate adoption of data principles, and act as a key liaison between business needs and technical teams.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in data management or architecture, with 5+ years in a senior role.
- Expertise in designing scalable data solutions, data modeling, and governance frameworks.
- Extensive experience in energy commodity trading or financial services is a must.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to drive consensus and bridge business and technical teams.
- Proficiency in relational and non-relational databases (SQL, NoSQL), analytics tools, and modern data technologies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
