Job Role

We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial professional fluent in German/Swiss German to join our team as a Business Developer in Rothschild & Co's Asset Management business in Switzerland.

The successful candidate will have experience in the Asset Management industry, holding a business development position in the Swiss market. You will co-lead local business development activities and manage your own client portfolio, reporting directly to the Head of Northern Europe.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify new business opportunities for Rothschild & Co Asset Management Switzerland while maintaining relationships with existing clients. Our clients primarily consist of banks, family offices, and independent asset managers.
  • Be accountable for your client portfolio, striving to meet clear yearly growth targets.
  • Organize local marketing activities, communication, roadshows (webinars), and events, achieving a satisfactory participation rate.
  • Stay up-to-date with key market developments and expand your knowledge of various markets and target client bases.
  • Closely collaborate with diverse teams across locations within Rothschild & Co Asset Management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in the financial industry, holding a similar position in Switzerland.
  • Develop long-term, professional relationships that add value to our clients and contribute to the growth of our business.
  • Experience in leading client pitches and closing deals.
  • A comprehensive understanding and ability to explain the entire product range (Traditional long-only funds, ESG range, Private equity) to various client types.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as in a team, exhibiting an entrepreneurial spirit and a hunter's profile.
  • Strong interest in financial markets and investments.
  • Excellent social and communication skills.
  • Native German/Swiss German speaker, fluent in English (French language is a plus).
  • Responsible, ethical, and able to represent the Rothschild & Co branding.
