About the Role

Solenis, a leading global producer of specialty chemicals, is seeking a highly skilled Municipal Corporate Accounts Director to strengthen its sales team in the European municipal distributors sector.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop long-term, collaborative partnerships with key distributors and strategic accounts in the European municipal markets.
  2. Ensure safety and advocate for safe practices, ensuring the safety of self and others.
  3. Leverage market and customer insights to develop joint business plans aligned with Solenis' business strategy and commercial targets.
  4. Analyze customer decision-making processes and initiate contact at various levels within the customer organization.
  5. Build strong relationships with senior management at account levels.
  6. Lead and partner with customers to implement business strategies and execute plans, conducting regular business reviews.
  7. Be the face of the company, responsible for sales, account correspondence, contracts, orders, new business implementation, troubleshooting, trade shows, and follow-ups.
  8. Manage a 80/20 split between account management and new business sales, including sales and service to existing customers.
  9. Interact with Technical, Engineering, Buyers, and Facility Managers.
  10. Maintain accurate records and comprehensive market, customer, and competition data in market information systems.
  11. Ensure the flow of information through ongoing reporting and monthly reports.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  2. Sales experience in the Water Treatment industry and Municipal expertise.
  3. Distributors management experience with the ability to build strong relationships with Distributors.
  4. Sound technical knowledge of municipal Wastewater Treatment/Sewage Treatment and legislation.
  5. Fluent English language skills.
  6. This is a field-based role with frequent travel up to 50% within the designated area, requiring a valid driving license.
  7. Customer focus, ability to fulfill customer needs and expectations, and professional confidence with internal and external customers.
  8. Delivering Results, passionate about success, and delivering operational excellence while sharing best practice.
  9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate at all levels in the organization and with clients.
  10. Ability to manage complex accounts independently and spot commercial opportunities.
