Precision Toolmaking Manager

We are looking for a highly skilled Precision Toolmaking Manager to join our team at SHL Medical. As a leader in advanced drug delivery systems, we require experts who can optimize our sink EDM machining processes.

In Taiwan, we have established a center of excellence for drug delivery and medical technology. Our team is committed to ensuring the right drug device for modern precision medicine.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 20 staff members
  • Develop cross-training programs to ensure all positions have substitutes
  • Maintain high-quality outputs while meeting deadlines
  • Refine our current sink EDM machining strategy and parameters
  • Assess the feasibility of fully automated setups for sink erosion (electrode 5-axis CNC+QC+EDM)
  • Establish offline work piece setups for wire EDM
  • Work closely with our capacity planning system
  • Ensure optimal performance and maintenance of all machines and equipment
  • Foster strong relationships with machine and equipment suppliers
Essential Qualifications
  • Apprenticeship in a relevant field (mechanic/toolmaking)
  • At least 5 years of experience with sink EDM machines
  • Certified trainer (''Meister'') preferred
  • Leadership experience (EDM or CNC department manager) preferred
  • Mandarin language skills advantageous
