Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist to join our team at the University of Zurich. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the team in daily R&D tasks, primarily related to primary cell culture work, using molecular biology assays.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting research experiments and analyzing results
- Planning and executing research projects, including literature research as needed
- Reporting and presenting research findings to the team
- Maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as biology, chemistry, or laboratory technology
- Experience in aseptic cell culture working methods and primary cell cultivation
- Proficiency in standard molecular biology methods, including qPCR, Western Blot, and immunostaining
- Experience with Flow Cytometry is an asset
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under time pressure
- Excellent communication skills and strong team player
- Proficiency in English, German is an advantage
- Valid work permit for Switzerland
