Job Title: Postdoctoral Researcher for Data Science in Spinal Cord Injury

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Department of Health Sciences and Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the implementation, training, and benchmark of state-of-the-art data science pipelines to characterize the landscape of SCI recovery trajectories and injury patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Familiarize themselves with various international databases collecting data on SCI patients.
  • Lead the implementation, training, and benchmark of state-of-the-art data science pipelines.
  • Run simulations based on a mechanistic understanding of the clinical hallmarks of traumatic SCI.
  • Communicate with clinical experts regarding the requirements for an online recovery exploration platform.
  • Support junior researchers in the team.

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant field such as data science, computer science, physics, and/or biomedical research.
  • Proficiency in Python programming with good knowledge of machine and deep learning models.
  • Experience in software development including collaborative coding and version control.
  • Background in biomedical projects with experience in interdisciplinary collaboration.
