Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team at Michael Page. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the existing customer portfolio within the assigned region, as well as prospecting and acquiring new customers across Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Portfolio Management: Manage and oversee the existing customer portfolio within the assigned region, ensuring strong relationships and driving business growth.
  • New Business Development: Prospect and acquire new customers across Switzerland, identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
  • Pricing and Offer Management: Collaborate with the Technical Supervisor and Sales Manager to create customized pricing offers that meet customer needs and drive revenue growth.
  • Internal Systems and Reporting: Maintain and update internal systems, and report to the Sales Manager, providing detailed visit reports and insights.
  • Technical Support and Assistance: Address and resolve application issues with or without technical service support, providing technical assistance to customers, including engineering support, equipment installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Lab Testing and Training: Plan, conduct, analyze, and document laboratory tests for customer applications, and train and educate customers and users on the equipment and machines.
  • Exhibition and Trade Show Participation: Define, organize, and participate in Swiss exhibitions and trade shows to expand the customer base.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a multinational organization, with a preference for the plastic industry.
  • Education: Engineering degree with a mechanical background.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in French, English, and German.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong organizational skills and autonomy, ability to work autonomously while reporting to the local business line, and a willingness to combine technical knowledge and sales capabilities.
What We Offer

The role is a hybrid one, with the opportunity to work from anywhere in Switzerland with one day per week at the headquarters in Romandie. The role includes a base fixed salary, a bonus, and a company car.
