About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our Information Systems team at Company 81 - Manulife Data Services Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes hosted applications, and APIs, while meeting service level agreements and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with internal or external partners to resolve operational issues and plan IT enhancements.
  • Develop IT Operations processes to support technical delivery involving multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Perform tasks such as data management, data loads, system scanning, scripting, QA automation, and coordinate production releases.
  • Enable monitoring, logging with tools like New Relic, Moogsoft, Devo, and Azure Diagnostics.
  • Configure and maintain infrastructure and networking requirements to support production environments.
  • Participate in vulnerability management, cyber security, and disaster recovery initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree holder.
  • At least 2 years of experience in using Azure, Kubernetes, and APIs.
  • Amenability to work onsite and from home anytime, dependent on business need and/or current external environment/situation.
  • Amenable to work on a permanent night shift.
  • Readiness and confidence in installing, configuring, upgrading IT systems and applications in Windows/Linux based environments.
  • API Management and DevOps principles and tools are an asset.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving abilities to deliver forward-looking IT solutions.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes.
