About the Role

">

The Head of Securities Finance will lead the strategic direction and operational oversight of the Securities Finance function within Leonteq Group. As a seasoned professional, you will manage and extend our counterparty network to capitalize on securities financing opportunities while ensuring regulatory compliance.

This position involves managing a small team of strong individuals, developing robust processes, and optimizing the group's liquidity and financing needs. You will closely collaborate with Treasury, Collateral Management, Trading, and Risk Control to balance regulatory requirements, financing costs, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the overall strategy for Securities Finance, aligning with the company's goals and objectives.">
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of securities lending and borrowing, ensuring optimal financing, collateral, and liquidity structures for the group.">
  • Manage and mentor the Securities Finance team, fostering their growth and development.">
  • Automate processes and enhance the Securities Finance Infrastructure to improve efficiency and productivity.">
  • Extend and manage counterparty relationships to expand funding opportunities and negotiate favorable terms.">
  • Optimize financing costs through effective negotiation skills and stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.">
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, addressing their needs and enhancing service delivery.">

Requirements and Qualifications

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in a dynamic investment banking environment, with at least 5 years in a leading managerial position.">
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.">
  • In-depth understanding of securities lending and repo markets, as well as related regulatory frameworks.">
  • Familiarity with trading platforms, risk management tools, and collateral management systems.">
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional relationships.">

Salary and Benefits
