Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of Commerce and Markets to lead our sales, marketing, and communication efforts in the growing renewable energy sector. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the European market, including photovoltaics (PV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), wind energy, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and electric markets.

Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership: Develop and execute commercial sales strategies targeting growth in PV, BESS, wind energy, and PPAs across Europe.
- Revenue Growth: Set and achieve ambitious revenue targets and market share goals within the European market.
- Customer Acquisition & Retention: Identify new business opportunities, manage key accounts, and develop long-term client relationships.
- Sales Team Management: Build and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing clear targets, guidance, and training.
Marketing & Communication:
- Brand Positioning: Develop and refine the company's positioning in the renewable energy market, ensuring our brand resonates with target customers across Europe.
- Marketing Strategy: Design and oversee the implementation of multi-channel marketing campaigns to generate leads, increase brand awareness, and drive sales.
- Digital & Content Marketing: Manage digital marketing strategies, including SEO, PPC, and content creation to reach new audiences and promote our renewable energy solutions.
- External Communications: Oversee public relations, communication with external stakeholders, and participation in industry events and conferences.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitors, and regulatory developments in Europe.
Business Development & Market Expansion:
- New Markets: Identify and develop strategies for entering new markets within the renewable energy sector, including PPAs and electric markets.
- Partnerships & Alliances: Build strategic alliances and partnerships with utilities, corporates, and other key players in the renewable energy market.
- Competitive Analysis: Continuously assess the competitive landscape and adjust the commercial strategy to ensure market leadership.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate closely with project management, finance, and technical teams to ensure alignment of sales, marketing, and business development activities.
- Management Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance, marketing initiatives, and business development opportunities.
- Budgeting: Manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize return on investment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Completed master's degree or comparable qualification in the field of renewable energies, energy technology, or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience in sales, business development, or marketing within the renewable energy sector, with a proven track record in PV, BESS, wind energy, PPAs, or electric markets in Europe.
- Leadership Experience: At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing sales and marketing teams.
- Language Skills: Native or comparable knowledge of Swiss German or German and English (obligatory).
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in CRM systems, digital marketing tools, and analytics platforms.
