Desktop Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Engineer to join our team at Michael Page. As a Desktop Engineer, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support and assistance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Provide Level 1 and 2 technical assistance, including on-site and remote support for hardware and software issues.
  • Desktop Support: Deliver support for desktops, VDI, and a wide range of technical issues, including phones, networking, and remote access.
  • Market Applications: Support market applications such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange: Troubleshoot and manage Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange, including user accounts, permissions, access, distribution lists, and shared folder creation.
  • Meeting Rooms: Configure and support meeting rooms, including VIP support for daily conferences, large meetings, and town halls.
Requirements:
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in supporting desktops, VDI, phones, and a wide range of software, hardware, networking, and remote access issues.
  • Market Applications: Expertise in market applications.
  • Tools and Systems: Solid experience with tools like ServiceNow for task tracking and depot management.
  • Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange: Strong understanding of Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
  • Meeting Rooms: Proven ability to configure and support meeting room systems, including integration of Polycom devices and MS Teams.
  • Communication and Documentation: Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the capacity to create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, ensuring that both technical issues and user needs are addressed effectively and efficiently.
