Desktop Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Engineer to join our team at Michael Page. As a Desktop Engineer, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support and maintenance for our desktop systems, ensuring seamless operation and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities:- Technical Support: Provide expert-level technical support for desktop systems, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
- Desktop Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, hardware upgrades, and system configuration.
- VIP Support: Offer exceptional support to our VIP clients, ensuring their technical needs are met promptly and efficiently.
- Level 1 and 2 Support: Provide first- and second-level technical support for desktop systems, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Desktop and VDI Support: Support both desktop and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) systems, ensuring seamless operation and minimizing downtime.
- Networking and Remote Access: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to networking and remote access, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity.
- Market Applications: Support market applications, such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv, ensuring smooth operation and minimizing technical issues.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for our team.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in supporting desktop systems, VDI, phones, and a wide range of software, hardware, networking, and remote access issues.
- Market Applications: Expertise in market applications, such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv.
- Tools and Technologies: Solid experience with tools like ServiceNow for task tracking and depot management.
- Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange: Strong understanding of Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Exchange.
- Meeting Room Systems: Proven ability to configure and support meeting room systems, including integration of Polycom devices and MS Teams.
- Communication and Documentation: Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the capacity to create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Customer Service: Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, ensuring that both technical issues and user needs are addressed effectively and efficiently.
