Key Responsibilities:Business Controlling
  • We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Business and Derivatives Controlling team and act as the global coordinator for our company's relevant activities.
  • As part of this role, you will perform daily mark-to-market evaluation of trading portfolios and provide result reporting to stakeholders in management, trading, finance, and risk management.
  • You will also provide management and other stakeholders with reports, KPIs, forecasts, and analyses.
  • Additionally, you will coordinate our company's budgeting processes and perform training of relevant stakeholders, ensuring the safeguarding of our company's knowledge.
Derivative Controlling
  • As a key member of our team, you will provide stakeholders with timely and accurate information on derivative transactions, including result reporting, trading fees, hedge ratio, hedge efficiency, and forecasting accuracy analyses.
  • You will support our accounting team in financial/month-end reporting for derivatives and ensure financial reporting compliance for derivative processes.
  • Furthermore, you will act as a contact for internal and external auditors and support the company in implementing new business models and hedging programs.
  • You will also drive further development of our trading platform as a key user and trade system provider.
  • Lastly, you will enhance controlling systems and interfaces to our company's data structures, visualize relevant information, and set up management and stakeholder reporting.
Derivative Operations
  • In this role, you will design derivative operations processes, ensuring efficient reporting and internal controls.
  • You will ensure the correct and prompt import of derivative deals into our trading system, verify plausibility of market data and deal valuations, and supervise derivative confirmation management, futures offsetting, derivative settlements, and invoicing processes.
  • Additionally, you will act as a senior interface function to back offices of counterparties and ensure completeness and accuracy of reported data provided to financial market regulators.
Requirements:
  • We are looking for a professional with a Master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as business administration, finance/accounting, or commodity trading.
  • You should have strong knowledge of controlling, accounting, commodity, and derivatives trading and operations, procurement business processes, hedging, multi-commodity deal evaluation, and market risk management, with at least 5 years of operational experience.
  • Advanced knowledge about derivatives evaluation and accounting is essential.
  • A knowledge and work experience regarding financial market regulations is a plus.
  • You should have excellent analytical and strong strategic thinking, interdisciplinary problem-solving skills for complex challenges in a multi-commodity trading platform.
  • Effective communication, team-working, and interpersonal skills are required, with leadership experience being a plus.
  • Fluent English and German in written and spoken are necessary.
  • International professional experience and strong intercultural versatility are highly valued.
