Electronic Equipment Supervisor

MSC Cruises is seeking an Electronic Officer to join our team. This is a highly rewarding role that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.

Salary:$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Electronic Officer to oversee the maintenance of electronic equipment on board our vessels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the maintenance of electronic equipment, including fire alarms, navigation systems, and public address systems.
  • Work closely with the Safety Officer to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the ship's fire system and Low Location Lighting system.
  • Perform routine tests of the ship's Public Address system.
  • Verify and maintain all security equipment on board.
  • Prepare requisitions for department stores and spare parts.
  • Assist the Chief Electrician in case of emergency.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate with appropriate licenses.
  • Holder of III/6 or III/7 IMO Certification.
  • Basic Safety Training Certificate including Advanced Firefighting experience and Swimming & Rowing competence.
  • Meets the requirements of STCW 95 regarding certification for this position.
  • Meets the requirements of the laws of the Flag State of the ship regarding health & physical requirements.
  • Extensive successful experience in a similar position within the cruise industry.
  • Basic Windows knowledge.

Language: Fluent in English, oral and written.

VISA REQUIREMENTS: USA VISA required if employed.
