The Senior Traffic Coordinator Ferroalloys/Nickel role at Hochstrasser Personal is a key position in our commodity trading company. We are looking for a highly skilled professional to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate logistics operations, including vessel chartering, container shipments, rail, truck, and air transport.
- Manage bank contacts and Letters of Credit (L/Cs) for suppliers and receivers.
- Conduct hedging calculations for metal quantities and foreign currency amounts.
- Communicate with clients and field offices on material availability, documentation, invoicing, payments, and client exposure control.
- Collaborate with supervision companies and laboratories to ensure proper supervision and assaying.
- Handle insurance risks for transports and stored materials.
- Pursue internal tasks, including email exchanges, direct contact with traders, profit and loss calculations, client exposures, accounting, bookings, account reconciliation, monthly closing tasks, and file liquidation.
Requirements:
- A sound educational background in a commercial discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a traffic role.
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written), with further languages an advantage.
- Current Swiss B/C Permit or EU passport holder.
