Sanctions Specialist

Our Sanctions Compliance Department is seeking a highly skilled Sanctions Specialist to join our team in Geneva, Zurich, or Lugano. As a key member of our Swiss Compliance Sanctions team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation of our International Sanctions framework.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Sanctions Risk assessments and provide recommendations to senior management;
  • Manage the onboarding, periodic reviews, transaction monitoring, and name screening processes to prevent sanctions risks;
  • Take timely and effective measures to mitigate sanctions risks, including support for the Sanctions Compliance team;
  • Escalate Sanctions risks and related major issues to Group Compliance;
  • Prepare management reports for internal use and to Group Compliance;
  • Provide Sanctions-related declarations and manage ad hoc requests from Group Compliance.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance;
  • Fluent in English, with German, French, and/or Italian a plus;
  • CAS in Compliance and/or other specialized certificates a plus;
  • Sound knowledge of the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering regulatory framework;
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively towards common goals;
  • Flexibility and resourcefulness;
  • Fast learner;
  • Able to take action and decisions.
